What Assets do You Bring to Your Internet Home Based Business?

Do you agree that the first and most important asset to your Internet home based business is you? Your integrity and self discipline are key to success! Without that sense of self and willingness to be the best employee you ever had and also to be the best boss you could be is a given. Then you need to do it every day for as long as it takes to achieve your personal goals. That is what it will take to reach the top. Do you have it? Are you willing to learn to develop the necessary skills?
Self Discipline
Some people have always worked for someone else, being supervised and told what to do. How do you do at home? Are you self disciplined?
Some people have spent time as their own boss, or have worked on long running projects that took dedication, planning and follow through. Perhaps you already have an online home based business.
Whichever place you find yourself, there are ways to improve your ability for self discipline.
How do you spend your days? So much time is lost and normally people are not even aware of their time and goals slowly slipping through their fingers. Keep a journal for at least two weeks. Suggest writing every morning and evening so you really keep it up to date and accurate. Write down what you do and I would suggest have a 24 hr log broken up by 10 minute increments. Be honest with yourself so you can find where your time goes. Take a look at your goals and see how they are playing into your daily routines. You cannot fix what you are not aware of. Find out what, if anything distracts you and causes you to lose your focus.
To run a successful business requires long term thinking and long term goals. Take the long range end result you are working to achieve and break it down into steps that you can see and believe you can do. Put this all in writing, keeping track of your results. Sometimes it pays to work with a mentor, professional organizer or even a counselor if you find habits that distract you and do not seem to be finding a way to overcome them.
Self Discipline can be learned. Just ask yourself, how bad do you want the freedom that comes from owning your own Internet home based business? You have the freedom to choose when and how you work. No commute on busy highways, just the two minute commute to the home office. With an online business you can travel and work from anywhere. No one can lay you off but you. That is a lot of benefits to consider. See you at the Top!
