Most people never spend the time learning how to market their Internet home based business successfully. Bottom line, you need to learn your business and by that I do not mean what you sell in product or service (that is a given). You need to learn many new and yet critical functions to get you to the top ranking pages for Google. Your Key Words need to be well chosen and they must hit PAGE ONE.
Now that does sound a little daunting, but it is fact that people glance at page one, two or three if you are really lucky. Your heading must catch their eye in 3 seconds and then if they click on you, you will have about 3 to 5 seconds to catch their interest to stay. That has to do with design layout. But for today let we will look at back links and why they are so important to attaining that coveted first page on a Google search.
When someone is new to marketing on the internet they hear terms thrown around that are like a foreign language. What is a Back Link? It is a link to your web site or web page that is incoming from another source. It needs to be relevant to your field and have developed a high page ranking that makes it a very valuable resource to your site. It is to you as well as the Google search engine bots which are also called spiders and crawlers, look to what is called anchor text when they crawl your site, an indication of just who is reading your site.
All Internet home based business webs, if they are to be successful must learn to develop these backlinks which are also called by other names: inbound links, inward links and incoming links. This is done through Search engine optimization (SEO). Each of us must continue to learn the techniques to improve the process of developing high quality traffic to our web sites.
